Frunk-tional changes! Honda’s practical NC750X all-rounder gets a technical tweak for 2025

1 of 8

Honda’s long running NC750X undergoes a light refresh for 2025, boasting extra tech and a revised look, while retaining the immense practicality that has made it such a popular commuting tool.

The NC’s 745cc parallel-twin engine continues to deliver an ample, if a little unexciting, 57.8bhp at 6750rpm and 51lb.ft of torque at 4750rpm. There are three levels of traction control and four rider modes as before, but for 2025, Honda have given the ‘Rain’ function a tickle.

The biggest mechanical change is a recalibrated Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), now offering improved low-speed control. As expected, fuel efficiency is as frugal as ever, with Honda claiming an impressive 80mpg that should mean nearly 250 miles between filling up the 14.1-litre tank.

In the chassis department, the NC now features dual 296mm front discs for the first time, delivering greater stopping power. To counterbalance the extra weight, Honda has also introduced lighter wheels, which should also aid agility.

Tech upgrades include a new five-inch TFT dash with phone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, controlled via a backlit four-way toggle switch on the left handlebar.

Meanwhile, the refreshed bodywork introduces a new LED headlight, trimmed-down panels, and a revised seat cover. The signature 23-litre storage compartment remains, with options for a USB charger and luggage divider.

In a nod to sustainability, the Japanese marque have now incorporated bio-based Durabio plastics for the fairings and windscreen on select colours. Speaking of which, there are four paint options available – namely khaki, black, white, and red. Prices and availability are expected soon.
