Yamaha have expanded their scooter line-up for 2025 revealing a high-spec Tech Max version of their popular CBT-friendly NMax 125 – while simultaneously refreshing the base model machine and cutting £178 from the asking price.

Now costing just £3600, the standard NMax 125 offers a refreshed design inspired by its larger siblings.

Available from January 2025, it now features dual-eye LED projector headlights, improved ergonomics, and practical features like 25-litres of underseat storage, keyless ignition, and a USB-C charging port.

Its twist-and-go 125cc four stroke single-cylinder motor makes the jump to Euro5+ and thanks in part to fuel saving stop-start technology, Yamaha claim the urban scooter can deliver 185 miles of range from its 7.1-litre tank.

For the first time ever, Yamaha are also introducing a bells-and-whistles Tech Max version. Like with their larger TMax models, this £3900 variant adds a touch a bling to proceedings.

Available from May next year, extras include a 4.2 full-colour phone-connected TFT dash with Garmin navigation, a leather-look seat with gold stitching, plus Ceramic Grey and Dark Magma paint options.

Chassis specs are standard scooter fare, with the NMax duo rolling on 13-inch wheels, offering non-adjustable forks and twin shocks out back.

Braking comes courtesy of 230mm discs front and rear, which is supported by ABS. Despite a modest 12bhp on tap, there’s also traction control, too.
