Italian urban scooter specialists, Piaggio have revealed a new Euro5+ version of their Beverly scooter, equipped with a larger 310cc single-cylinder twist-and-go engine.

The new bike is the latest in a long line of Beverly models, which began back in 2001. For 2025, it’s climbed up from 278cc with over 70% of the internal parts said to have been changed.

Power now sits at a claimed 27.3bhp, making it eligible for A2 licence holders – with new parts including the crankcases, injector, and starting system. Piaggio themselves say the performance has been chosen for town work, plus occasional longer rides either as a solo rider, or with a pillion passenger in place.

This engine is housed in a tubular steel double cradle frame, with 35mm Showa conventional forks, and five-stage preload adjustable Showa twin shocks at the rear.

Available as either a standard or Beverly S model, other features also include LED lighting, a 5.5 LCD dash, and an ABS-equipped disc brake at the front and rear surrounding the seven-spoked rims (16in front, 14in rear).

On top of this, you get underseat storage with an interior light, with space capable of holding a flip-up ‘modular’ helmet, plus options for a 36- or 52-litre top box.
