Triumph team up with Gibson for special DGR Bonneville

Triumph have teamed up with guitar brand Gibson to produce a special edition Bonneville T120 to be awarded to the highest fundraiser at this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) charity event.

The 1959 Legends Custom Edition will be a one-of-a-kind build and pays tribute to the introduction of the original T120 Bonneville. It was also the year Gibson introduced their most famous guitar – the 1959 Les Paul Standard – which was the tool of choice for stars such as Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, and Jeff Beck.

As you’d expect then, the one-off Bonnie comes festooned with nods to Gibson’s heritage, including a bespoke paintjob featuring a guitar neck and headstock shape on the top of the tank and hand-painted coach lining – all completed at the brand’s Hinckley home.

You also get, metallic gold ‘Triumph Gibson 1959 Legends’ badges on the tank, side panels and front mudguard, plus a special certificate of authenticity, signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, and Cesar Gueikian, Brand President of Gibson.

In addition to the bike, the charitable winner will also receive a special 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue guitar, authentic to the original instrument, and dressed in a number a Triumph design details in recognition of the Bonneville.

For a chance to win, you’ll need to take part in this year’s DGR – an event founded in 2012 that sees over 100,000 smartly dressed riders come together across more than 900 cities around the world on classic and retro bikes to raise money for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

This year’s ride takes place on Sunday, May 22 and registration is open now at gentlemansride.com.
