Yamaha USA reveal new bagger

Yamaha Motor Corp USA have unveiled their new 2018 bagger, the Star Eluder, although there is currently no word on whether the new model will come to the UK.

The Star Eluder is powered by the same 1854cc air-cooled V-twin engine as the Star Venture, and in fact looks to be exactly the same as the Star Venture, minus the tall screen and top box.

However, the new bagger still has plenty of goodies, featuring Drive Mode settings that adjust throttle response, traction control, heated seat for both rider and passenger, and a fully-featured infotainment system.

The Star Eluder also includes Yamaha’s Unified Braking System, which dynamically adjusts front and rear brake force balance in real time.

The infotainment system features a 7-inch full colour touchscreen display which can show a range of riding information and can also be connected to the rider’s headset via Bluetooth. Including FM/AM/WB radio, you can also play music from your phone via Bluetooth or USB.

Yamaha also offer a GT option for the Star Eluder, which includes GPS, a CB radio,  SiriusXM and SiriusXM Travel Link, which provides weather and traffic information, and a security alarm.

The Star Eluder will be available in Liquid Silver, Impact Blue and Raven at Yamaha dealers in early 2018 with a price of $22,499 (Around £17,000) for the base model, and $23,999 (around £18,000) for models equipped with the GT Option Package.
