CCM plan new Spitfire Scrambler

Big sales success prompts off-road ready Scrambler

CCM revealed their limited-edition Spitfire at the Carole Nash MCN Show in February – and just one week later they had sold all 150 units and the phones are still ringing.

Rather than build a load more the same and detract from the Spitfire’s exclusivity the British firm have announced a Scrambler version.

“It’s going to be based on the Spitfire chassis but it’s going to have proper off-road capability,” says John Drogan, Sales and Marketing Manager at CCM.

“The Scrambler will have longer travel suspension, increased ground clearance, a different subframe and high-level exhausts. Although it won’t be a huge task to transform it, we’ve recruited two new design engineers so it doesn’t delay our 600 Adventure launch and we’ll be recruiting one more.”

Drogan says the Spitfire Scrambler won’t be launched until later this year as they still have the accessories and add-ons range to complete for the standard Spitfire.

With the background CCM have in off-roaders and lightweight adventure bikes, the bike could take on the likes of Ducati’s new Desert Sled.
