New exhaust for Ducati Panigale in Japan
Updated: 20 November 2014
The horrified response to the Japanese specification Ducati 1199 when it was unveiled in 2012 has prompted this revised exhaust system, spotted by a spy photographer at the Ducati test track last week.
The noise regulations in Japan are so strict that the 1199 was unable to pass without a massive carbon-fibre end can and modified crankcase with a noise-supressing cover.
The new twin-stacked exhaust, seen here in a very raw state, replaces the excessively long single silencer.
