Spied: BMW R1200GS with Ohlins electronic suspension

MCN’s spies have captured a BMW R1200GS sporting a new Multistrada-style Ohlins electronic suspension system.

The development mule was caught near Ohlins headquarters sporting a version of the Swedish firm’s ‘Mechatronic’ suspension which appears to plug into the standard BMW adjustable suspension interface, and has been key to the Ducati Multistrada S’s runaway sales.

It’s not clear if the bike is an official BMW prototype or an Ohlins hack sporting a new aftermarket suspension upgrade for the massive-selling GS.

The spy shots were taken at a petrol station around the corner from the Ohlins factory in Sweden while the bike was out on test…
