MINI Scooter E Concept wows media
The non-motorcycling press are lavishing attention on MINI’s new electric scooter concept, revealed in London yesterday.
Designed to “meet the needs of the young urban generation”, the two-wheeler offers a smart-phone dock with navigation app integration. The headlights will automatically “open” when a fellow E Concept rider passes you on the road. There’s even talk of a drinks holder.
The lithium-ion battery is charged via a conventional three-pin plug stored in the rear of the scooter.
Three interpretations of the MINI Scooter E Concept will be on display at the Paris Motor Show next week, one of them in a mod-ish “swinging 60s” style.
BMW, MINI’s parent company, will continue to build the petrol-burning, mile-munching, decibel-screaming bikes we know and love. Thankfully.
