‘Vintage’ BMW has 110bhp!
Updated: 19 November 2014
Take a second glance – this ‘vintage’ BMW is actually nothing of the sort.
Based around the modern powertrain from the BMW R1200GS, it’s a one-off special built by one of France’s leading BMW dealers Panda Moto (hence the Panda in the pictures), south of Paris.
Panda Moto boss, Jean-Luc Dupont, had the idea to build the bike as a rolling, usable homage to the German firm’s original boxer twin, the 1923 R32.
It’s impressively done, too. The name, meanwhile – R1232 – comes from a combination of R1200 and R32.
