New MV middleweight is definitely a triple
Updated: 19 November 2014
MV Agusta’s new middleweight sports bike has been spotted again testing in Spain, and this time the spy pictures prove it has a three cylinder engine.
The new shots – which will be published in MCN on Wednesday April 14 – include a fairing-off close-up of the engine showing three exhaust downpipes and a triple-exit silencer in place of a conventional Arrow silencer seen previously.
MV test riders were lapping the bike, thought to be a 750, at a track day at Almeria in Spain, mixing it up with road-going versions of a Triumph Daytona 675, Kawasaki ZX-6R and a Yamaha YZF-R6.
Thanks to MCN readers Layne Wilson and David Martin for the pictures – see them all in next week’s MCN, out April 14.
