Countdown to New Brutale 990R and 1090RR first ride

MCN’s Senior Road Tester is in Italy for the launch of MV Agusta’s new Brutale 990R and 1090RR. He says: “We’ve just arrived close to Misano race track near Rimini in Italy, where tomorrow we get to ride the new MV Agusta Brutale 990R and 1090RR.

“They won’t let us take the cover off to take a look, but we already know the Brutales, which are the first MVs to be made with new owners Harley Davidson on board, are 85% new.

“The new machines are heavier than before and have traction control as standard, in an effort to rival the Ducati Streetfighter S. Styling is very similar, although the Brutale has a new tail unit and a comfier seat. The 990R should cost around £12,000 and the 1090RR £14,000 when it hits dealers at the end of this year.”
