New cheap off-roaders

1 of 2

These new 150cc and 250cc off-roaders aren’t the usual Chinese fare.

They’re made for American company SMC (Southern Motorcycles), who aim to deliver affordable and reliable intermediate trail bikes.

The SMC YB150 and YB250 are air-cooled motocross-style machines with adjustable upsidedown front forks, a modern single shock, tubular steel frame with removable one-piece aluminium subframe, wave-style discs and aluminium swingarm.

Pick up next week’s MCN (out September 23) for the full road test.
