KTM RC8 to launch next week

KTM will launch the new RC8 superbike next week in its final production form – a whole four years on from the concept motorcycle’s first appearance.

The teasing shot of the new KTM motorcycles’s dashboard reveals a rider’s eye view of the motorcycle, which looks like no other from this angle. Just like the original KTM concept, it sticks with a near flat screen, although for some reason the motorcycle shown doesn’t appear to have any mirrors.

The simple, race-style dash reveals a 10,000rpm rev counter, plus multi-function displays, with a trip-counter that shows not only distance but also time and average speed. A large shift light dominates the top of the display, while warning messages are cycled at the bottom.
