Safer bike concept

British firm Genesis Motorcycles has unveiled this take on a safer form of motorcycle, to respond to traffic congestion, increasing fuel prices, and rider safety.

The Genesis Mk 111 is currently based on a 650cc Suzuki platform, and provides a heated environment inside the safety cell developed in conjunction with a number of racing car teams. The rider is repositioned inside the vehicle and secured with cross-over three-point seat belts.

The bike has been designed and built in the UK with development funding from The London Development Agency, and attracted interest from Transport for London and Southampton University. There’s no suggested price as yet. Let us know what you think by following the Related Topics link, right.
