The new bike market in general has grown with total registrations of bikes and scooters up 11 percent on last year.

The biggest selling bike in the UK so far this year is the Yamaha R6, closely followed by the Honda Fireblade and the Suzuki GSX-R1000. Honda’s ever-popular CG125 slips in at number four followed closely by the Suzuki GSX-R600.

The only category of bikes to slip is Adventure sports, which includes bikes like the BMW R1200GS. The class has been booming for the last year but the latest figures sees it drop by almost 10 percent.
