HP2 launches on Sep 10

BMW’s new HP2 enduro machine will get an official launch across the entire UK dealer network on Saturday September 10.

The launch gives dirt-riding fans their first chance to try the HP2 (High Performance 2-cylinder) for size.

Visitors will be able to see the new HP2 in the metal, watch exciting footage of the HP2 in action at race-events around Europ and take away the latest issue of BMW Bikes magazine.

Anyone who buys an HP2 from a UK dealer in 2005 will get a free unique off-road HP2 experience which includes a day’s off-road training at BMW’s Off-Road School in Wales directed by 6-times Dakar rally competitor Simon Pavey, as well as dinner and overnight accommodation.

The HP2 weights 175kg dry, makes 105 bhp and has the world’s first motorcycle spring/damper system running exclusively on air. Production volumes of the HP2 will remain relatively low to retain an element of excusivity.

It costs £11,995 on the road.
