MV 1000 is fastest yet
The new MV Agusta F4 1000 has the highest top speed of any superbike we’ve ever tested.
The previous record holder was a high-speed run on a Suzuki GSX-R1000K3 – which maxxed out at 182mph late last year.
We’ve been giving the gorgeous Italian four-cylinder sports bike its first full performance test and its first group test on UK roads this week.
We’ve had it on the dyno – and found it produces more power than any other superbike we’ve tested. And we’ve had it flat out at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Leicestershire.
Could this be the most-lusted after bike of the year? At £14,000 there’s a hefty price to pay but our first impressions suggest it’s the kind of bike you’ll be prepared to trade granny in for.
Our car park has looked just a little flash this week, because we’ve pitched the MV against three other Italian beauties: Ducati’s 999S, Benelli’s Tornado RS and Aprilia’s RSV-R Factory.
Find out how it scores against them and exactly how fast and how powerful it is in MCN out on July 1, 2004.
