First shots from Yamaha’s four stroke GP test

This stunning shot is one of the first pictures to emerge from Yamaha’s secret test of their new four stroke GP bike, the M1.

It was snapped by our photographer while Max Biaggi, Carlos Checa and test rider John Kocinski were putting the machine through its paces at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit.

The test is the first major session of the winter and all three riders will head to Malaysia next week to continue development work.

Due to the high secrecy surrounding the test no details are available yet but a full report from the test will be released by Yamaha later this week. We’ll bring you the details as soon as we get them.
