It’s been a big year for Harley-Davidson. Not only have the company celebrated their 120th anniversary, but 2023
also marks 40 years of HOG, the world-famous Harley Owners Group which unites die-hard riders all over the globe.

Combine those two factors with one of the biggest HOG rallies in the UK, Thunder in the Glens, and you’ve got all ingredients for one heck of a party.

MCN gatecrashed this annual Highland fling to find out what creates that HOG magic.

A group like no other

We all know an owners’ group has the purpose of getting likeminded folk with similar tastes in two-wheeled metal into the same room to share their passion, and the Harley Owners Group (HOG) is no exception. The main difference between HOG and many other associations is that it was launched by, is backed by, and is part of the very brand it celebrates…

MCN Reporter - Saffron's love for motorcycles began early, growing up surrounded by them and riding as soon as she turned 16. She pursued a BA in Creative Writing and Fine Art, followed by a Level 3 Diploma in Journalism from the NCTJ while gaining work experience at a local newspaper.
