Big read: ‘It’s Ollie & Tommy Bridewell: British Superbike Champion’

Tommy Bridewell reached the top of the mountain in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this year as he clinched the title by just half-a-point.

It was a crazy year full of ups and downs, controversy, and arguments, but it’s one that will not be forgotten.

Bridewell’s route to the top hasn’t been easy and MCN visited him at home to learn more about his story. The closest of brothers Tommy and brother Ollie, who tragically died at Mallory Park in 2007, were born into a racing family and started competing at a young age.

Both worked at the family firm, Wayside Garage, launched in 1946, and were inseparable growing up.
