British motorcycle racing has lost one of its biggest, most influential and dedicated characters following the passing of Paul Bird, owner of Paul Bird Motorsport (PBM), who died in hospital following a short illness on Friday September 1.

He was 56. To say that Bird has played a big part in helping the Bennetts British Superbike Championship become the juggernaut it is today would be an understatement; his contribution is unrivalled.

Not only are PBM eight-time British champions, but they’re the paddock benchmark.
