John McGuinness MBE: ‘Jake could set the place wild’

I’ve booked my campsite, I’m taking my family and we’ll be there all weekend.

It’s great they have opened up the grandstands for the fans. As an event it has to do well, we need it to do well and they are making it entertaining for the whole family with some big-hitting bands, which means there is something for everyone.

I remember going for the first time in 1979 watching Sheene and Roberts. And I’m still going now all those years later – I never get bored of it.

I’m honestly excited. If Jake Dixon can win again it will send the place wild. So let’s get behind him as a nation. I know whatever happens with Jake, it won’t be through a lack of trying…
