Chugging between hedgerows, wind in your face, twin-cylinder engine thudding beneath you… it’s easy to see why so many riders love the idea of cruisers.

The looks, character and torque make the bikes appealing even to those of us still in love with sportier bikes. But many are put off bymassive engines making low power and high prices.

But these bikes don’t have to be intimidating,nor do they need to be excessively expensive – As these three prove.

The Triumph Speedmaster, Harley-Davidson 883 Iron and Kawasaki VN900 are all great examples of accessible middleweight cruisers which will cost you around £7000 news (that’s the same as a Yamaha Diversion 600 with ABS).
