2011 Triumph Speed Triple first road ride: 'it's an absolute joy'

Triumph’s new 2011 Speed Triple 1050 is a ‘demon road tool’ according to MCN’s Trevor Franklin is currently riding the motorcycle in Spain.

Firing back his first thoughts after a brief road ride this morning in Ronda, Southern Spain, Franklin said:

“When you’ve got a grunt laden engine like the 1050cc unit it doesn’t demand a lot of gear box action and on flowing roads it’s an absolute joy.

“The revised seating position has proven comfortable and the new chassis geometry makes the steering on par with its smaller sibling the Street Triple. It looks like Triumph have thrown in another winner into the super naked ring.”
