2010 Enfield Woodsman: first ride

1 of 3

The new Royal Enfield Woodsman gets the same fuel-injected unit construction motor as the Bullet EFI, complete with a five-speed gearbox, disc brake and electric start.

The bike evokes the style of the original 1955-1959 Woodsman with trail-style bars, a high-level exhaust, single seat, bash plate and luggage rack.

Predictably it’s very similar to other Bullet models to ride – crude, not quick but characterful, laid-back and very enjoyable if you’re in the correct frame of mind. The trails riding position is comfy and gives good control.
