VFR1200F first ride blog: The night before the first test of the VFR1200F

MCN’s Andy Downes will be testing the new VFR1200F in Japan later this week. He will be posting regular updates of his experiences.

‘I’ve just finished a 17 hour day at the Tokyo Motor Show and about to go to bed in a hotel In Sendai – on the north east coast of Japan and about 250 miles north of Tokyo after getting a Shinkansen Bullet Train up here this evening.

Had an amazing meal in a local Japanses restaurant and was served (and ate) everything from chiken hearts to beef tongue and lots and lots of sushi and sashimi. I loved every bit of it.

Tomorrow is another early start but I don’t care because I will be riding the new VFR1200F on track at Sugo racetrack for three sessions and then I get another two sessions on the Dual Clutch Transmission bike – to say I am excited is a massive understatement.

Got to get some sleep but keep checking back as I will update on here just as soon as I possibly can get some time on the bike to let people know what it’s all about.
