The 2009 Yamaha R1 blitzed the competition in our 1000cc track test last week, but how will it fair in the place that matters for most – on the road? Watch the video to find out.

Last week the Yamaha R1 lapped the Cartagena track over a second faster than the second place Kawasaki ZX-10R. But now it’s time to get out on some real roads, so the bikes roll out of the Caragena circuit and out onto the surrounding roads heading south along the coast towards Almeria. The whole route is a 240 mile round trip.
