Royal Enfield reveal further details on their high-tech Flying Flea C6 retro electric bike

Royal Enfield’s resident EV brand, Flying Flea, have revealed further details of the tech behind their forthcoming C6 retro electric motorcycle.
Announced at the 2024 EICMA trade show in Milan alongside the scrambler-styled S6, the C6 will compete with bikes like the BMW CE 02 and Maeving RM1S when it arrives in 2026.
While performance figures remain under wraps, the bike’s proportions suggest it will be comparable to a petrol 125 and A1 licence-friendly, just like the aforementioned rivals.

At its core is a Snapdragon QWM2290 processor running Enfield’s in-house developed operating system, controlling all aspects of the bike’s performance, features and connectivity.
This includes a smartphone-based digital key, allowing riders to unlock and start the bike without a physical fob – it’s unclear at this stage whether owners will also be able to boot up their ride via more traditional means.
The C6 is also customisable on the move, with five ride modes tweaking throttle response, power delivery, regenerative braking, traction control, and the bike’s lean sensitive ABS. Four presets come as standard, while a fifth allows for a custom setup – an awful lot of choice for a small city bike.

In terms of connectivity, the Qualcomm-powered ‘Car-to-Cloud’ integrated system enables remote interaction via smartphone, smartwatch, or voice control, with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 4G.
This allows riders to monitor their bike’s status, preferences and security from a distance, adjusting settings via an app.
On the security front, Enfield have built protection in from the ground up, with encrypted connections, real-time location tracking, and tamper alerts all in place to stave off light-fingered thieves and offer owners peace of mind.

Over-the-air updates also mean the C6 can receive software tweaks without the need to visit the dealer, with new features unlocking as systems improves.
