Kidd’s illustrious career began when he was still a teenager. Then, aged 20, in 1979, he completed one of his most renowned feats – an 80-foot railway gap jump in Maldon, Essex.

Later down the line in 1993, Kidd went on to successfully clear the Great Wall of China.

That same year, Kidd triumphed over Robbie Knievel, son of Evel Knievel, in a highly publicized jump-off competition in the United States.

Kidd’s life changed forever in 1996 following a crash at the Bulldog Bash, which left him partially paralyzed and with brain injuries.

Despite this, he continued to push boundaries, even completing the London Marathon in 2011 at the age of 51 – a feat that took nearly two months to achieve.

Using a specially designed walking frame, Kidd walked up to a mile a day to complete the undertaking, raising over £72,000 for Children with Cancer UK.
