Screen if you want to go faster! KTM unveil pair of tech-filled TFT dashboards

Alongside spilling the beans on their new AMT system, KTM have lifted the lid on two new TFT dashboard designs to be featured on their 2025 flagship machines, before trickling down to lower models in the future.

These come in two orientations, namely the V80 8.0-inch vertical version and a H88 8.8-inch horizontal type.

The display features a 1280 by 720 resolution, in-built off-line mapping, newly developed touchscreen functionality (which works with and without gloves), and 256,000 colours – almost four times what the previous device offered.

That’s not all though and there’s also a bonded screen featuring anti-reflex, anti-fingerprint, and anti-glare technology. ‘Virtual buttons’ built into the dash do away with the need for auxiliary switches and control functions such as heated grips, heated seats and fog lights.

The screen also allows for more customisation options than ever, with configurable split-screen functionality built in. There are five pre-set screen options, allowing the rider to pick between adaptive cruise control functions, map navigation, telemetry, favourites, or music as their core home screen.

Connectivity has said to have undergone a serious evolution and now allows for pairing with e-Sims, GPS antenna, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.

The new backlit switchgear has also been revised and now features a dedicated ride mode button, a new five-way joystick and back button, new cruise control buttons, and gearchange controls where applicable for models featuring KTM’s new AMT system.
