Live and let bid! Bond bikes donated by Daniel Craig bag £60K for RNLI

A pair of limited-edition Triumph motorcycles gifted by James Bond star Daniel Craig have fetched £60,000 at auction, with all proceeds going to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in celebration of the charity’s 200th anniversary.

The two bikes, a Triumph Tiger 900 Bond Edition (#001/250) based on the Tiger 900 Rally Pro, and a Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition (#003/250), built on the top-spec Scrambler 1200 XE platform, sold for £32,000 and £28,000 respectively.

Both models are inspired by the 25th Bond film, No Time to Die, and each one bears Craig’s personal signature.

“The RNLI has always been close to my heart,” said Craig. “I grew up near the Hoylake station and have unforgettable memories of going out with the Ramsgate crew. It’s an honour to support an organisation that’s saved over 146,000 lives in its 200-year history. I’m proud to contribute to this incredible cause and hope these unique Triumphs find appreciative homes.”

The auction was part of the Bonhams Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, which featured 395 lots and raised a total of £3.236 million. Each bike came with a certificate of authenticity signed by Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, as well as the original V5C document in Craig’s name.

The winning bidders also scored an exclusive riding experience at the Triumph Adventure Experience in Ystradgynlais, Wales. There, James Bond stunt double and Triumph Enduro Racing Team Manager Paul Edmondson, along with stunt coordinator Lee Morrison, offer off-road coaching.
