Indian have teamed up with Roland Sands Design (RSD) to create an aggressive one-off Indian Scout twin for Joshua Dun, the drummer from US band Twenty One Pilots.

Part of a new YouTube build series, the one-off is based around the latest 1250cc Scout, which was released for 2024 in a range of five different models. This bike is based on the £13,395 Sport Scout and combines a range of bespoke parts, as well as elements from the more aggressive Indian FTR range.

“What makes an RSD bike is taking a machine and elevating it,” said Sands. “We’ve always taken cruisers and made them into sportsbikes. This bike has that RSD silhouette, but the cool thing was how easy it was to make the Scout fit the RSD mould.”

Sands and his team removed the standard non-adjustable telescopic forks and triple clamps – replacing them with the upside-down stanchions found on the FTR range. A set of dual front discs and Brembo calipers were also applied, replacing the standard 298mm single semi-floating disc, plus two-piston caliper.

On top of this, the FTR swingarm has been installed – attached to a set of piggyback shocks, with a Brembo caliper found at the rear end. For sportier road holding, a pair of 17in Dymag rims are in place which should reduce unsprung mass for quicker changes of direction.

The Dymags are shod with Dunlop Sportmax Q5S tyres – moving away from the standard 19in front and 16in rear Metzeler Cruisetec options. It’s all topped off with a custom titanium exhaust, plus tweaks to the bodywork and a black and yellow paint job.

“Wow. This thing’s perfect. The colours are perfect,” Dun said upon seeing the bike. “This whole thing makes sense. And I think that my intuition was right, that, you know, the brand and the people behind Indian are just a cool group of people.”

Twenty One Pilots are known for hits including Stressed Out, Ride, and Heathens.
