Aprilia are looking to inspire the next generation of motorcycle racing stars with a specialist track kit for the £6500 RS457 parallel-twin A2-friendly sportsbike.

Called the RS457 Trophy Racing Kit, the additions will include an SC Project exhaust system, a Sprint Filter air filter, a full fairing kit with fiberglass tank cover, and racing switches produced by Jet Prime.

A racing ECU will also be installed with the additions said to be available to any budding racer. The bike seen in the official photography also comes finished in a red and black MotoGP-inspired livery.

The upgrades can be fitted to the standard RS457, which is powered by 457cc 8v parallel twin engine, said to be capable of producing 47bhp as standard. Highlights include a five inch colour TFT dash, three-stage traction control, and three riding modes, with the twin cylinder motor help in place by an aluminium frame.

Bikes using the bolt-on goodies will compete in a race series in 2025 and will be making their sporting debuts in two Italian races later this year. The 457s can be seen on September 8 at Cremona, and October 6 at Misano.

An early version of the Trophy race bike was seen at the Eicma trade show in 2023, alongside the full reveal of the road bike. The new race series will take place in Italy and will be run by organiser Eventi 2 Ruote.
