Barcelona based electric motocross manufacturer Stark Future have announced a dramatic scaling up in production.

CEO and founder Anton Wass reported a large increase in the number of units produced at the close of 2023. From small beginnings, the company now claims to have quickly ramped up production to as many as 69 bikes daily, with over 800 being completed in November alone.

The increase in manufacturing volume promises to shorten delivery dates on existing and new orders, with Wass claiming in a social media video message that wait times should decrease from “over a year, to only a few weeks” if ordered after the announcement.

Around a year ago, in early January 2023, Royal Enfield’s parent company Eicher Motors Ltd announced a €50 million investment in Stark Future SL, with Enfield since revealing a battery-powered Himalayan concept at Eicma 2023.

Despite the auspicious news, a number of commenters online have claimed they have been waiting in excess of two years for their orders, with some even reporting that their expected delivery dates have lengthened since the announcement.

Stark’s sole product, the Varg packs a claimed 30% more punch that a traditional 450 MX machine, churning out 80bhp and up to an earth twisting 938 nm of torque. All that power comes from a 6.5 kWh battery capable of delivering up to six hours use for ‘easy trail riding.’

Stark Future may be relative newcomers to the world of motocross but they are already making waves. Just this month, rider Jack Brunell stormed to an electrifying victory whilst piloting the Varg against the conventional petrol competition at the Manchester round of the British Arenacross championship.
