Rally fans invited to attend 'An Evening of Dakar' event at the Bike Shed Moto Co. this December

As Dakar 2025 looms on the horizon, fans of the rally are being invited to attend an evening of pre-race celebrations this December 28 at the Bike Shed Moto Co. in London. 

Hosted collaboratively by Brake Magazine and the Trail and Adventure Motorbike Podcast, the event will kick off from 4pm with a Rally Bike Prep masterclass, presented by Dakar finisher Neil Hawker. 

From there the evening will offer a further four rally themed presentations, including a display of Dakar machinery spanning a 46-year lineage.  

An array of special guests has been confirmed, including Long Way Round star Charley Boorman and Patsy Quick – who was the first British woman to complete the Dakar in 2003. 

Current raid competitors Skyler Howes and Ross Branch will also be involved virtually, and to top it off Brake Magazine will showcase their yearly Dakar film.  

For 2025, this will involve taking two vintage Yamaha XT 500 replica Dakar bikes and retracing the steps of the 1979 rally. Tickets for the event cost £38.62 per person and can be found here.
