James Bond star, Daniel Craig has donated a pair of limited edition 007 Triumphs to an upcoming auction, with all proceeds raised going towards the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The motorcycles in question are a twin-cylinder Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition (#003/250), plus a three-cylinder Tiger 900 Bond Edition (#001/250) inspired by the 25th film in the series, No Time to Die. Both are signed by the actor and will go under the gavel in October with auction house Bonhams.

“The RNLI has been close to my heart all my life since growing up near the RNLI station at Hoylake,” Daniel Craig said. “I have incredible memories of going afloat with the RNLI crew at Ramsgate to experience firsthand what it’s like to be part of the organisation that has saved over 146,000 lives since starting up over 200 years ago.”

Operating around the coastline of the UK and Ireland, most RNLI crew members are volunteers. There are over 5600 people operating the boats, with more than 3700 on the shore. Crews must respond quickly once alerted by their pagers, with services operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

“I am honoured and immensely proud to support the RNLI and hope the auction of Triumph’s Limited Edition Bond motorcycles proves popular,” he continued.

The bikes will be sold at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show in Staffordshire on October 12-13 this year, with documentation including the original V5C documents with Daniel Craig’s name. You also get a certificate of authenticity signed by both Craig and Triumph Motorcycles’ CEO, Nick Bloor.

On top of this, each of the bike sales will also come with the chance to ride at the Triumph Adventure Experience in Ystraglynais, Wales, alongside stunt co-ordinator Lee Morrison and James Bond stunt double Paul Edmondson.

“The riding experience with Lee Morrison and Paul Edmondson adds another unique and exciting dynamic to the lots,” Daniel Craig added. “I worked with Lee on Casino Royale, all the way through to No Time To Die; the opportunity is not to be missed and will help raise funds for the truly lifesaving cause.”

The actor’s comments were added to by Triumph CEO, Bloor, who said: “Triumph is delighted to support the 200th anniversary of the RNLI with this auction of two unique Bond motorcycles spearheaded by Daniel Craig.

“I hope that the winners enjoy the unique experience of riding with the incredible stunt riders Lee Morrison and Paul Edmondson. This really is a once in a lifetime opportunity!”
