Bawtry Bike Night to become a regular fixture following "roaring success" at inaugural event

Following a highly successful opening event, a Doncaster based bike night is set to become a regular fixture, with approval granted for two more once-per-month events across the rest of the summer.

Over 200 bikers reportedly congregated together to form the inaugural Bawtry Bike Night, with local residents joining in the action too by popping along to check out the various machines on display.

“It was a roaring success,” said Bawtry Retail Association Chairman, Ross Jarvie. “We had loads of positive comments from people on the night. The feedback from residents, retailers, and the council too has been very positive.

“Bawtry Town council are also kindly granting us permission to run two more this year, with these planned for August and September. Then next year, the hope is to run them once per month from April onwards if we get approval.

“We have always been a very biking friendly town,” Jarvie added. “Even when it’s not a bike night, you can park up and grab a drink in town. It’s a great place to ride too. I’d encourage bikers to come and visit whenever.”

The night spanned three hours of entertainment, with attendees treated to live music, pizza on site and ample tea and coffee too.

Visitors were also encouraged to explore and support the surrounding businesses, many of which were in close proximity to the event’s venue.

The next edition of Bawtry Bike Night is set for August 28, with the final event of the year set for September 25.
