The Simon Andrews Fund is coming to an end after a decade of supporting injured motorcycle racers, organisers have confirmed.
Announced on the official Facebook page, the support was set up following the death of popular racer Simon Andrews at the 2014 North West 200 .
A tribute lap was organised to take place on Mad Sunday at the Isle of Man TT the following month and after thousands joined the procession, the annual Simon Andrews Legacy Lap was born the following year.
The lap, whilst carrying Simon’s name, is to remember all fallen racers as well as raise money for the Simon Andrews Fund for Injured Riders – program that assisted injured racers with rehabilitation.
Fund organisers confirmed that the lap would continue during the TT fortnight , with the remaining money they have going to support race marshals, Air Ambulance charities , and more.

Nye joined the MCN team in January 2024. Born into a family of bikers, he was first wobbling around on two wheels at just four years old.
Following this early introduction to the world of motorcycles, Nye has since dabbled in trials, motocross, road racing, hillclimbing, enduro and overland travel.
He’s now ticked off 50 countries by bike, with his two most notable trips being a four-month jaunt to Azerbaijan and back, as well as a more recent 20,000km solo expedition down the west coast of Africa, all the way to Cape Town.
Nowadays, Nye mostly gets his kicks exploring the UK’s unmetalled road network, racing enduros and rallies aboard his KTM 500EXC-F, or tackling his local karting tracks with his supermoto pitbike – which often leaves him well acquainted with the ground.
When he’s not out riding or covering the latest biking news, you’ll find Nye out cycling, walking his five rescue pups or wondering why his classic Land Rover has broken down - again.
