A Frenchman has been picked at random from thousands of entries to be the new owner of an Indian FTR, designed by nine-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb.

Martin W from Toulouse was announced as the winner following a three-month campaign, which saw over 9000 people across 20 countries register for a test ride on an Indian FTR and thus be entered into the draw.

Martin said: “The day I got the call that I had won the FTR Loeb, I couldn’t believe it. I thought it couldn’t possibly be me, but it was. I told myself that I’d done the right thing by booking my FTR test ride on that famous Saturday morning.

“Being a great motorsport enthusiast and having also worked in the field, I couldn’t believe that Sébastien Loeb and I would now both be riding the same bike. He’s a renowned driver whom I admire and have enjoyed following throughout his career.”

He added: “I really enjoyed riding the bike during the test and can’t wait to discover the FTR Loeb at Wheels and Waves 2023 in Biarritz.”

Just two of the Loeb specials were made by French builder, Tank Machine, with the other being given to the rally driving legend himself.

Indian FTR Loeb

Indian Motorcycles are giving you the chance to win a special Indian FTR model designed by World Rally driver Sébastien Loeb.

Before his better-known car racing exploits – including nine World Rally Championships – Loeb raced on two wheels in regional moped events, circuit races and enduro.

The Frenchman became an Indian ambassador last year and has been riding around on an Indian FTR R Carbon ever since, but this special build in collaboration with Tank is a little more bespoke.

“Motorcycling has always been a passion of mine and my career could have been so different if the right opportunity in motorcycle racing had presented itself before my move to four wheels,” said Loeb.

“Riding is a unique experience, a whole different world of sensations compared to driving a car, and the FTR was just the perfect choice for me.”

“I’ve become a big fan of the FTR’s unique style and performance, so to be asked to create a one-off build with Tank Machine was a real honour. I can’t wait to see the finished bike and I am sure the winner will love their FTR as much as I will.”
