The Sammy Miller Museum cancel their James Hillier Day

The Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum in Hampshire, has announced the cancellation of the James Hillier Day event, scheduled for Sunday, April 2 2023.

The public event was to feature the BSB rider and his Rich Energy OMG GasGas 450 Rally in addition to his BSB Gearlink Kawasaki.

The musuem’s resident attraction, the world record breaking Norton Kneeler, was also scheduled to be fired up. No reason for the cancellation has been given and the museum apologise for any inconvenience caused.

James Hillier and his OMG GasGas 450 Rally

James Hillier and the Rich Energy OMG GasGas 450 Rally on which he completed his first ever Dakar Rally this year, will be the guest of honour at the Sammy Miller Museum.

The museum, located in New Milton, Hampshire, will be hosting an open day from 10am on Sunday, April 2, where Hillier will be riding his Dakar steed.

Hillier will also bring his BSB Gearlink Kawasaki on which he had many successes and Gearlink’s  Michael de Bidaph will be there to answer questions about the team and their plans for 2023. 

The Norton Kneeler

The museum’s most famous resident, the Norton Kneeler, which broke 60 World Records 70 years ago at the Bank Circuit, Montlhery, outside of Paris, will also be fired up.

The bike competed in the North West 200, setting the lap record.
