Kymco have announced a new sales incentive that will see their two- and four-wheeled products equipped with Datatool motorcycle security free of charge (the £3499 electric I-One is not included).

“Kymco welcomes the strengthened partnership with our security business partner, Datatool,” National Sales and Marketing Manager, Neil Keeble, said. “Both companies passionately believe in offering our customers a security solution for their peace of mind in tracking, and the DNA marking of a customer’s machine.”

He continued: “The strength of our relationship with Datatool will be a huge benefit to our customers.”

Kymco seal the deal with Datatool

With Kymco producing a range of bikes from affordable geared 125s, to their £9999 AK550 Premium maxi scooter, it is hoped the offer will reduce the chances of theft, as well as delivering insurance benefits.

Customers purchasing a new Kymco will be treated to a free Datatool Stealth Tracker, which will require a subscription, and a £39.99 DNA Security Marking System treatment.

This sees the application of a number of microdots, which match up to a Datatool national database. If your bike is stolen, this can be used as a proof of ownership and make it very difficult for thieves to sell on.

“Kymco is the first motorcycle manufacturer to recognise the value of our innovative Datatool DNA Security Marking System, by making it standard fitment on all their petrol-powered products,” UK Sales Manager for Datatool, Dan Balsamini said. “We look forward to a fruitful partnership that will set new standards in model security.”
