Oxford Products donate ambulances to Ukraine

Motorcycle accessory manufacturer Oxford have continued their support for Ukraine by buying two former NHS ambulances and donating to them to an Oxfordshire fundraising campaign.

The vehicles were given to Fynn Watt who began a Crowdfunding and JustGiving campaign in February to support Ukrainian refugees displaced by the war with Russia.

It was a chance meeting that inspired the collaboration as Oxford Marketing Director Henry Rivers Fletcher explains: “Our Chairman and Founder, Alec Hammond. bumped into Fynn in Poland while travelling on an Imperial Rally in the summer.

“Fynn and his team were en route to Ukraine with the last batch of ambulances and his story captivated Alec who immediately instigated Oxford’s involvement.”

The Mercedes ambulances were inspected over a two-week period before embarking on the three-day journey to Ukraine which began on Wednesday 21.

Specifically, one will go to paramedics in Lviv and the other will head east towards Dnipro, where a military unit will add camouflage before taking it into the conflict zone of the Kherson region.

Donations will be used to fuel, service and equip the ambulances with medical supplies whilst in the field for the next months.

Oxford have supported Ukraine since the war began; first recalling shipments en route to distribution partners in Russia and Belarus and then matching staff donations to send £4100 to the country.

Oxford remains in regular contact with its customers in Ukraine offering whatever support they need.
