The project has been going since 2019 when RE commissioned the French firm to build a one-off for their custom programme. It was well received so the next logical step was to distil the project into a replica kit that could be built at home by owners.

Most of the changes take place at the rear of the bike, with a 5cm shorter subframe that supports a new custom-style leather seat, mudguard, plate holder and rear light. Up front some new bars with neater controls, Motogadget speedo and Oberon mirrors slim down the bike.

There are also a Koso headlight and indicators using Bad Winner’s own headlight mounts, with the whole lot connected up through an adaptive electronics box into the original wiring loom.

For riders looking for extra performance there’s the option of some new pipes and an air filter courtesy of S&S Cycles, including their Slips Ons for a classic look, or their new 2-into-1.

Add to this the S&S hi-flow air filter and a Power Commander with pre-made mapping for maximum performance. For even more performance-focused riders there are also some suspension options with a YSS upgrade kit for the forks and three different options for the twin shocks.

This Motokit is available in four mini-kits: Front kit / Seat kit / Suspension kit / Performance kit. All the items can be purchased directly from Bad Winners in France, with individual kits available directly from £430 while the full kit is available from £2900.
