BMW and Lego have released their latest collaboration, this time producing a Lego Technic version of the BMW M1000RR. Designed as a 1:5 scale version of the 209bhp superbike, the little racer is nearly half a metre long, built from over 1900 individual parts and has astonishing levels of detail.

Not only does it have fully working suspension and three different dash modes, it’s also got a working three speed gearbox complete with a neutral. For display it also comes with a paddock stand and pitboard.

To represent the M1000RR’s M Endurance chain, the final drive on the Lego version is gold-coloured and the BMW racing livery is faithful to the original, too. And of course no M1000RR would be complete without aero wings.

The Lego BMW M1000RR is available directly from Lego stores and online from Jan 1 priced at £174.99.
