Motus shuts down after 10 years
Published: 11 September 2018
Oddball US bike manufacturer Motus has shut its doors after 10 years of operations. Based in Birmingham, Alabama the firm produced a series of bizarre across-the-frame V4-engined machines. Said to give the experience of a small-block V8, their MST sports tourers failed to sell in enough numbers to make money.

Motus founders Lee Conn and Brian Case said: “This week, Motus’ financial backers informed management that they would not provide capital to maintain operations.
“We were surprised and disappointed, especially because we have been working so hard on an October 2018 product launch into a new and exciting segment as well as features on the MST series.”
