Freebird motorcycle club honour injured biker
A motorcycle club in East Anglia has honoured a biker who suffered severe injuries in a crash 10 years ago with honourary membership.
A decade ago Lloyd, then a member of the Freebird motorcycle club, had an accident while riding his bike, sustaining injuries so severe he looked unlikely to survive. He defied the odds and lived through the ordeal, but was left severely disabled.
Sadly, Lloyds former motorcycle club disbanded some time ago, but in April this year the club returned, with the same name and same president, Colin Byrne, at the helm.

Now, despite Lloyd being unable to ride a motorcycle, the club have awarded him with an honourary membership, complete with a cut and patch. Members regularly visit Lloyd, so he is still able to enjoy motorcycling, even though he can’t get out on two wheels.
