The dirt track and Hooligan racing has been going down a storm at the Carole Nash MCN Festival of Motorcycling today.

Shale has been flying as the bikes tear it up around Peterborough Arena’s dirt oval as the second rount in the DTRA and Hooligan championship got underway.

Indian have been playing a big part in this year’s event, providing no less than six bikes that have been prepared by Krazy Horse in the Hooligan class and are battling it out with machines from Ducati and Harley-Davidson.

It’s also the second round of the Maxis UK Flat Track Nationals, where Alan Birtwistle is trying to defend his 2016 title.

The Hooligan class, sponsored by Harley DavidsonSideburn magazine and the DTRA, features road bikes that are post 1980 twins, 750cc and above. The bikes have unmodified frames, the front brake disconnected and no knobbly tyres are permitted. As a result, there will be an eclectic mix of bikes on the start line.

The racing will be continuing at the Festival again tomorrow and there are still tickets on the doors, don’t miss out!
