We’ve had a cracking summer so far and what better way to enjoy the long sunny days than getting out on your bike.

With thousands of motorcycle events across the globe, that range from terrific track days to raging rallies to relaxed bike meets. There’s definitely something for everyone.

Here’s our pick of 10 fantastic events for you to get a kick out of this summer.

Bexhill MotoFest

Where: De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex

When: Sunday July 30

Why go: There’s lots of fun in the sun to be had at the MotoFest with live music, stunt shows, exhibitions and loads of show bikes. You be spoilt for choice with 50 cafes, pubs and restaurants. A day out for the whole family.

Withernsea Music & Bike Fest

Where: The Promenade, Withernsea, East Yorkshire

When: August 4 – 6

Why go: It’s a fantastic free music and bike fest on the Yorkshire coast with great fun for all the family, loads of great bikes and stalls on show. Pack your tent as there’s camping facilities and cracking music all weekend.

Llangollen Motorcycle festival 2017

Where: Llangollen, Denbighshire, North-East Wales

When: August 5 – 6

Why go: John McGuinness, 23 time TT winner, is guest of honour at this year’s event. There’s 100’s of great bikes, loads of displays, trials, stunts, live music and stalls. If you fancy a quick ride-out, Llangollen is surrounded by brilliant roads.

Brackley Festival of Motorcycling

Where: Brackley Town Centre, Northants

When: Sunday August 13

Why go: There’s everything from MotoGP bikes tearing up the high street, to toddlers on electric trials bikes hopping over wooden palettes. So, this festival is one of those rare events that brings together all genres of motorcycling and all proceeds go to charity.

Poole Quay Dream Machines weekly bike meet

Where: The Quay, Poole, Dorset

When: Every Tuesday, 6pm, April to the end of September

Why go: At the height of summer as many as 1500 bikes cruise into town, which makes Dream Machines one of the UK’s biggest meets. The backdrop of the quay and harbour is the perfect location with many cafés, bars and a beautiful view.

Isabena Rally 2017

Where: Camping Isabena, La Puebla de Roda, Huesca, Aragon, Spain

When: September 2 – 3

Why go: 2 days of great riding through the beautiful pyrenees mountains with routes for all bikes and riders to participate in. There’s a fantastic 200km ride with awe inspiring views and great camping sites.

Soggy Moggy

Where: The Woodgreen Animal Shelter, Kings Farm, Godmanchester, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

When: September 8 – 10

Why go: A great laugh for all those motorbike nutters. With bands, bike show, silly games and different bonkers rally events to throw you and your bike into.

Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup

Where: Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, North Yorkshire

When: September 23 – 24

Why go: Racing at Oliver’s Mount have been likened to a ‘mini TT by the sea’. There’s always edge of your seat racing and this two day meet will be no exception.

Weston bike night

Where: Marine Parade (Seafront), Weston Super Mare, Somerset

When: Every Thursday night till late September

Why go: It takes place on the lovely beach lawns in Weston Super Mare and has all the load of attractions. You could ride away with a bike of the night themed award, they range from Scooter to American Power. There’s also music, hot food and trade stalls.

Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride

When: Sunday September 24

Why go: It’s a crazily fun event that will see the streets taken over by hordes of finely dressed gents and their classic machines. There will be café racers, bobbers, custom bikes, trackers and undefinable two-wheeled creations. All in the name of helping beat prostate and testicular cancer.
