Ewan McGregor’s bike is up for sale

1 of 12

That bloke from the movies and one half of the duo that made up the Long Way Round/Down series (and long time fan of MCN) Ewan McGregor is selling one of his favourite motorcycles at the Bonhams auction in Las Vegas on January 26.

The bike, simply named ‘The Machine’, was built in 2010 at the reformed Indian Larry Motorcycles, which carries on the legacy of ‘Indian Larry’ Desmedt for building charismatic, standout choppers after his untimely death in 2004.

TOP STORIES

It features a Harley Panhead-style Pandemonium motor and has a guide price of £18,000-£21,000 and joins a whole host of other rare and exotic machinery including a host of Laverda Jotas, a number of Ducati 750 SSs from the 1970s period and a few Vincent Black Shadows. Not forgetting, of course, all of the former racing machines with more history than the Roman Empire and a super-rare 1912 Harley-Davidson X8E Big Twin that was owned by none other than the King of cool himself, Steve McQueen.
